My name is Mattea Garcia and I am a the Learning Management System Product Manager for Denver Public Schools, supporting schools with implementing our Learning Management Systems that support both student and adult learning. Through my role, I support schools with strategic planning around tech-enhanced instruction, support and facilitate a wide-range of professional development, and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to ensure our system use aligns with our district priorities and values.
I enjoy creative problem solving, executing concrete solutions from conceptual ideas, and engaging in deep conversations around supporting traditionally undeserved learners. I believe quality, technology-enhanced systems and instruction are means to achieve equitable outcomes for all learners. Utilizing an assets-based approach, I focus on instructional excellence in my work and enjoy collaborating with subject matter experts to create quality educational experiences for in-person and online learning that feel elegant and polished.
