Technical VIdeo Overview Example

This video was created in collaboration with a larger committee of stakeholders to improve the facilitator and participant experience for online professional development offerings. After this video and the accompanying support documentation was distributed to facilitators, there was a dramatic decrease in incidents related to the interface and increased satisfaction from both facilitators and participants with respect to the online professional development process.

Undergraduate Choice Session Asynchronous Lesson 

To adjust our course for an online format, this video was created as a part of an asynchronous choice session for undergraduate students taking Digital Teaching and Learning at University of Colorado Denver. The video portion of this lesson was embedded in a course in Canvas with accompanying documents, objectives, and instructions for students. The built-in checks for understanding and pausing are designed to chunk the learning and ensure students are able to meet the session objectives.

Multi-Year Online Professional Development

During the summer of 2015, I designed professional development materials for the JDO Foundation and translated them to an online course environment. This site contains a sample of these materials, as well as more information about the design process.
